Historical Windows 98 icons

The PNG files under assets/win98/, including toolbar, navigation and live-download globe icons, were obtained from Alex Meub's Windows 98 Icon Viewer. The historical icon artwork belongs to Microsoft and any other respective rights holders. The viewer is the source collection, not a licence granting this project redistribution rights.

Rights status: these icons are not open-source assets and are not covered by the MIT or font licences above. This project has no documented permission grant for their use. Attribution alone is insufficient; usage and redistribution need to be checked against the relevant rights-holder terms. See Microsoft's content permissions guidance.

Project artwork & brand

The custom calculator SVG icons, Bahrain timeline icon and pixel skyline, Narrowband Nomad SVG mark and project-created hero/wallpaper assets were produced for this exhibit. They are distinct from the historical Win98 PNG collection. No copied modem audio recording is shipped. The current app does not play audio.

The favicon and application icons use the Narrowband Nomad mark. The social preview is a supplied illustration of the retro calculator. These credits do not make a claim that all project assets are open source.
